Absolutely! We accept cash and cheque at The Pantry! You can also mail a cheque if you're unable to stop in for a visit!

Donations honoring the memory of a loved one, honoring a special event in a person’s life (birthday, anniversary), or as a thank you or Christmas gift is a meaningful way to provide a compassionate tribute.
Donations can be made by any of the ways mentioned above. Please indicate that the donation is an “In-Memoriam” (including the deceased’s name) or “In Honor of” donation. Provide your name and address, as well as the recipient’s name and address. The Petawawa Pantry sends a tribute card to the recipient or recipient’s family informing them of the donation.
For in-memoriam donations where the address of the family is unknown, we can send the tribute card to the funeral home, if identified, for forwarding to the family.
Yes please! We accept PC, CANEX or Giant Tiger Gift Cards are appreciated as they are used to purchase food for our inventory (especially perishables like milk, bread, margarine, cheese, fruit and vegetables). Any denomination is gratefully accepted.
Absolutely! Hard copy tax receipts are mailed out annually in March of the following year. For example, if you made a cash donation in September 2024, you would receive your tax receipt in March 2025.
If you donated through CanadaHelps or PayPal Giving Fund, tax receipts are issued immediately.
